Abstract
Procurement management in projects has emerged as a fundamental component in planning, management and proper execution in the last decades. In this context, the relationship between procurement management and project management is explored, associated with strategies aimed at mitigating risks, optimizing resources and ensuring timely delivery of results. Through a literature review, this study analyzes the key stages of procurement management, from needs identification to supplier selection and execution, with an emphasis on best practices and approaches that maximize project value. The results suggest that procurement management is not a peripheral task, but rather a strategic component of modern project management.
