Abstract
This research examines the relationship between innovative activities and sustainable innovation in Colombian companies. It is a quantitative non-experimental study with a cross-sectional design. The sample was obtained from the national innovation survey of Colombia. The econometric model used was Probit regression. The results show that research and development (R&D), the acquisition of machinery and equipment, and training are the activities related to sustainable innovation. The innovative strategies and activities of these companies are focused on the market through the development of R&D and training in innovation activities. This research sheds new light on the relationships between innovative activities and innovative performance in developing countries, where the evidence is scant.
