Abstract
In recent years, the constant challenge of finding cost-effective and sustainable alternatives has become a difficult task for researchers worldwide. Although it is true that scientific advances have been rich in this branch of green chemistry, there are still methodologies to be perfected. This systematic review was elaborated in relation to nanotechnology and its application in the agricultural field as a nanofertilizer, with the objective of providing the scientific community with information on the latest advances in research on the application of nanoparticles (NPs) as new emerging technologies, in favor of the phenological development of plants and/or crops. It was determined that, although nanofertilizers as emerging technologies contribute in great percentage in the structural development of the phenological characteristics of the plant, there are side effects, so it is important to take into account the background, in order to achieve the incorporation of this new green technology in agricultural development.
