Abstract
In this document, the impact of the debate methodology is studied within the learning process of university students for the acquisition of new knowledge on issues of innovation and sustainable energy for master's students in electrical engineering in San Andrés Isla. For this purpose, groups to which a topic related to current energy issues is assigned are assigned; subsequently, debate sessions are developed following the methodology proposed by the University of Oxford; and finally, the students rate the performance of each group in the 4 main axes: style, content, strategy, and critical thinking. At the end of the course, students answer a questionnaire evaluating their skills in the aforementioned axes and providing feedback on conditions for improvement.
