Abstract

Currently, the success of companies creating innovative products depends on the ability to identify the problems and needs of users. Therefore, it is imperative to create research that teaches how to design and develop a product. This article presents step by step how to design and develop a mechanical device based on customer requirements and the identification of needs. The objective of this article is to present the design and development of a device for cleaning glass blinds and at the same time to help as a guide for the creation of a product. People who own glass blinds have the problem of not being able to clean the windows quickly and efficiently. The results of this research showed that by following the design phases it is possible to create a product that meets the requirements of the customers and in turn eradicates the problem. The use of this article can serve as a reference for the definition of products for other cases.
