Abstract

The process of integrating systems in small and medium-sized companies within the framework of industry 4.0 is important for the operationalization and systematization of processes, which is why optimization models are required that allow the standardization of processes and reduction of costs that allow the use of resources for the management of construction projects for the construction sector that in Cartagena de Indias presents a high demand and there are many companies dedicated to this activity. The integration of construction project management systems allows this group of companies to enhance their innovation capabilities and measure their results to constantly evaluate financial and inventory indicators. As it is the case of the present investigation, it shows how it is possible to optimize resources for the minimization of costs in the subcontracting process of machinery and other materials at the moment of budgeting a type of Civil Works Project, it is taken as reference the time delay due to the development of activities, capacities, and times of use of the machinery and equipment together with the costs assumed for the execution of these.
