Abstract
The existence of metal-mechanical companies with ETO and MTO characteristics is growing in the industrial field, in which one of the main problems they present is delays in project deliveries due to machine stops, reprocessing by mistake in designs, delays due to the absence of materials, among others. The models proposed to improve delivery times in metal-mechanical companies that work by order are scarce, however, those used in linear production can be extrapolated, provided that the processes are similar. Experts and researchers on the subject have successfully replicated these models, which involve different Lean tools selected according to the causes that generate this problem. For this reason, this article proposes a model that combines the SMED tools and the autonomous and preventive pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in a context of low demand and production times in days. The simulation of the development of the model showed, in a moderate scenario, that the On Time Delivery indicator improves from 66.67% to 75%.
