Abstract
This article proposes to optimize the planning process of the maintenance service of a company dedicated to the commercialization of analytical instruments using an e-maintenance strategy. The diagnosis was made using Power BI software, centralizing the information on work times in recent years, including the year 2020, an atypical year due to Covid-19. The efficiency of each collaborator and the direct work time indicator obtained were analyzed, allowing better decisions to be made in the work planning process. Power BI was chosen as the e-maintenance tool since it allows all the files and information generated by the after-sales staff to be in a centralized location. Likewise, the impact of the maintenance planning and programming process was analyzed, obtaining as a diagnosis that the personnel are dedicated 37.6% to direct work and 62.4% to non-direct work, which represents an efficiency of the man-hour cost of the 35%. Regarding the research methodology, it is of an application-experimental level. Achieving as estimated results in the proposal to improve the planning process; direct work time increased by 51% and non-direct work time decreased by 49%, which represents a man-hour cost efficiency of 49%. The case study concludes with the improvement of the planning process and therefore of staff productivity by 36%.
