Abstract
Through the study of the cup molding process in the production plant, potential reasons that can cause defects in the parts processed in this area were identified. One of the sources that can be attacked not only for defect generation, but also for savings in other areas as raw material for its manufacture is the use of cooling cones to cool the cups. Through the use of Solidworks, the design of a poka yoke was achieved with the objective of attacking the defects of great depth and little depth in the area. It is possible to provide an alternative that involves a greater order in the workstations, reductions in the search time for cooling cones and an easier method for the associates to use these devices correctly, cooling the cups in the right way.
