Abstract
Considering that Artificial intelligence is applied more frequently in educational management; this article presents the results of a case of supervised machine learning using neural networks to classify if an engineering student finishes his degree in five years at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería from Peru. The TensorFlow library is applied with a 5-layer neural network in the Google Collaboratory platform for training and validation, obtaining a classification model with an approximatly accuracy of 90%, which could help as a monitoring and follow-up tool for students with academic problems.
