Abstract
In the present investigation, the objective was to compare percentage-wise the variation of the physical-mechanical and economic properties of the elaboration of paving stones, concrete and hot asphalt mixtures, modified with the incorporation of recycled PET for the wearing course of the pavements. Pavements, through a systematic review of various selected investigations. A documentary review of 16 investigations was carried out, comprising 15 theses and 1 research article referring to the subject of study; preparing summary sheets and data collection technical sheets where necessary information from the investigations was gathered, which was analyzed through tables and graphs in Microsoft Excel 2016 software. The results show that there are positive and negative percentages of variation of the properties physical-mechanical properties of paving stones, concrete and hot asphalt mixtures, and also in the economic aspect, but in small percentages. It was concluded that the incorporation of recycled PET plastic is recommended, because the percentages of variation of the physical-mechanical properties, and at the same time economic, are favorable in the elaboration of the wearing course of the pavements with the optimal percentages.
