Abstract

The present research work to the Calzado Kids company, located in the city of Trujillo, La Libertad region, in order to implement Lean Manufacturing tools. For the analysis of the company, data collection was carried out through telephone interviews and information collected from company managers, carrying out a general recognition of the process. Then, a VSM of all activities was carried out and thus be able to determine those that add value and not to the process, immediately afterwards we went on to the analysis and identification of changes which were over-processing, transportation, unnecessary movements, long waits, depreciation of the Human value. Once all the necessary information was obtained, we worked on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and TPM, Poka Yokes, Jidoka, Cellular Manufacturing in order to have greater control of production in each of the processes, a good distribution of the plant, reducing unnecessary times, movements and waiting, obtaining good quality products based on the principles of Total Quality. Finally, it was concluded that with the application of cellular manufacturing the reduction of cycle time is achieved by increasing its production, as well as a reduction in existing transports. The application of the 5S tool will allow a more orderly and clean environment, as well as the application of Jidoka, on the other hand, the TPM tool managed to identify the problems that generated low efficiency.
