Abstract
The main objective of this research was to determine the influence of the addition of 4% and 6% of construction waste [CW] in the improvement of the physical-mechanical properties of the granular material for its use in pavements according to the “Manual de Carreteras - Especificaciones Técnicas Generales para Construcción [EG-2013]. R.D.No. 22-2013-MTC”. The results showed that adding CW improves the granulometry of the material, it has an inversely proportional relationship with the liquid limit, it does not present plasticity, it reduces the percentage of loss to abrasion concerning the standard sample from 60.49% to 56.40%, and 50.21% adding 4 % and 6% of CW respectively and, furthermore, it increases the CBR from 30.00% to 34.90% and 41.30% adding 4% and 6% of RC respectively.
