Abstract
The objective of this article is to study the luminaires in homes using LED technology as an alternative solution to the high demands of active energy consumption in the department of Cajamarca - Peru. A cross-sectional descriptive methodology was used, and instruments such as data collection sheets, DIALux software and the interview were used. As a result, it was obtained that LED technology represents an alternative solution to the high demands of active energy consumption, reducing it by 50.38%, which represents a saving in soles of S/9.80 per month. Finally, it was determined that the proposed hypothesis is accepted with a variation of 0.38%, verifying that LED technology favors the reduction of active energy consumption by lighting.
