Abstract
Soils that have a CBR of less than 6% require stabilization or replacement with a material or loan; this type of soils are usually; clays, silts and organics. The purpose of this research is to determine how the addition of PET at 2%, 4% and 6% influences the stabilization of a clayey soil for unpaved roads. This research is a type of applied research and experimental method. The sample to be studied was extracted from 01 pit located in block one of Jr. Guadalupe - Tartar Chico town center of the Baños del Inca District of the province of Cajamarca. According to the tests carried out, it was obtained that, with the incorporation of 2% of PET, the CBR increased by 3.58% of the CBR of the standard sample, with the incorporation of 4% and 6% the CBR decreases.
