Abstract
The research consists of the development of a methodology to update the Educational Objectives for Engineering Programs (O.E.P); based on the strengthening of the skills of the students of the program; adopting the 9 general criteria and a specific criterion of the ICACIT international accreditation. Therefore, it is necessary to have global guidelines for engineering training that allow compliance with the institutional and program purpose. Reason why, it is necessary to update the O.E. through systematic processes suitable for the continuous improvement of the academic development of the students, without affecting the training process that is in progress. For this, the self-study of the program, the mission of the program, the alignment with the educational objectives, the accreditation criteria, the student's skills and results of the contribution of the program's interest groups were considered as a starting point; achieving the systematization of the updating process, sustaining the educational model and not affecting the students in the training process.
