Abstract
This research is focused on the production of quality biogas, monitoring the production parameters with the main objective is the comparison of the calorific power and the thermal performance of biogas produced from organic solid waste and liquefied petroleum gas. The results obtained shown that biogas have a specific heat of 958 Kcal/m3 and thermal performance of 9.25%, in addition to a production between 1.8 to 2 m3 of biogas for every 100 liters of daily load; The Anderson Darling test was applied to determine the normality of the data and the ANOVA test to contrast the results. This concluding that the levels of calorific power and thermal performance of biogas have a high and functional level for any rural and urban project despite being lower than those of LPG, providing a reliable proposal for optimization of its waste and implementation of clean biogas production techniques.
