Abstract
The objective of this work is to validate a questionnaire using the a priori market segmentation technique for the development of a biodigester prototype based on green technology. The structure of the instrument will allow us to obtain information on the design characteristics of the biodigester according to the variables that are associated with market segmentation from the point of view of the consumer (head of household). For this, a team of experts is created who propose and evaluate the attributes that the instrument will measure for data collection. The sample consisted of 10 experts in the area of renewable energy and energy techniques of different nationalities. The contribution of the study depends on the understanding of the construct and the technical characteristics of the prototype design. This work shows the procedure developed to estimate the content, construct and internal consistency validity of the instrument. The construction and validation processresulted in a questionnaire made up of six structures or segmentations aimed at collecting information on the future structure, production, consumption, perception and environmental information of the families of the marginal urban sectors of the city of Guayaquil. The results indicate that the judgment of the experts is consistent in applying the questionnaire to households in the marginal urban sector and that the instrument is completely reliable in achieving the objectives of the current research.
