Abstract
The products transportation is part of the supply chain, which is carried out at a local, national and international level, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days. It is important to know the motivations that allow staff to improve their performance. This article is the product of a thesis- type study, the objective of the research was to determine the relationship between motivation and job performance of employees of a heavy load transport company, Piura - Peru, 2021, result of a thesis study, descriptive correlational type. A reliable survey validated by experts was used, with a population of 18 collaborators, a questionnaire was applied to a sample of 15 collaborators (purposive sampling), using a Likert scale, with categories from "never" to "always". When analyzing the results, a correlation was obtained between "work motivation" and "work performance" with a Rho index of 0.874, confirming the existence of a high positive correlation between motivation and work performance of the employees of a heavy load transport company, Piura - Peru, 2021.
