Abstract

The research was applied to the Faculties of Engineering that have had to take on the challenge of teaching concepts, promoting skills and attitudes that typically require a practical and laboratory component, in a virtual learning environment. The purpose is to evaluate the levels of achievement of the results of practical learning in virtual laboratories (LV) with the use of computer software, as one of the challenges that the pandemic has brought to the educational sector and that has generated a positive impact on the subjects of engineering, in such a way that they can be maintained, enhanced or adapted to the new reality. For this, the students of the Ricardo Palma University (URP) and the National Technological University of Lima Sur (UNTELS) in engineering subjects of the first and sixth cycle were determined as a sample. For this, the students of the Ricardo Palma University (URP) and the National Technological University of Lima Sur (UNTELS) in engineering subjects of the first and sixth cycle were determined as a sample. The methodology considered two phases, the first where the characteristics of the sample were determined and the second phase the application of the questionnaire with licker scale and indicators such as availability of computer equipment, simulation software-laboratory guides and practical learning together with the application of the rubric to determine the results of learning through diagnostic, formative and summative evaluation carried out by the teacher in the classroom. The results showed a high percentage in the level of good (achieved) and in some subjects, an excellent level (outstanding achievement) was obtained, however, it is still pending to work on the learning that is in process or in the beginning as a need to adjust the pedagogical strategies. (methodologies, tools, didactic components) to the teaching-learning processes demanded by the new normal.
