Abstract
The present investigation is based on behaviorism (psychological current), which provides the theoretical foundations for the development of this model. Behavior-based safety is a tool used in organizations with the purpose of modifying the behavior of workers, it is properly executed and provides the social license to operate reliably. Likewise, the use of technological tools to report risk behaviors allows a better performance by Behavior Observers, because the proposed tool is displayed in a friendly environment and easy to apply. The development of this research was carried out in a mining operation in the Cajamarca region, with the aim of improving the results in the management of the organization. This initiative was successfully implemented in the organization under study, with a view to generating a change in attitude in workers, which is manifested through correct decision-making (safe behaviors). The implementation of this behavioral tool seeks that workers internalize safe behavior in each action they execute within the workplace, likewise, the application of the behavioral model can also be leading as learning to our daily lives to avoid unwanted events in our family environment and social. During the development of this research, the steps to follow for a correct implementation of the Behavior-based Safety Program are detailed, demonstrating a gradual increase in safe behaviors.
