Abstract
The construction of buildings over the years has been evolving by leaps and bounds, in recent years many natural disasters have been suffered in which it was detected that many of these constructions were not prepared to face such disasters, which is why new studies and prevention measures for future buildings, and thus implement a safe construction. In this research we focus on natural disasters specifically on earthquakes that directly affect buildings, for this reason we are directing the use of "Elements that dissipate the effect of earthquakes on buildings", to meet our objectives we have analyzed 23 articles from different sources, finding that the most outstanding was the existence of basic seismic isolation, energy dissipation, likewise most buildings use high-damping rubber and neoprene, this technology is also currently used in civil works.
