Abstract
The purpose of this research was to establish the impact of the improvement proposal in the production and quality areas according to the theories of the QFD, FMEA, on the profitability of fisheries Jada SA Chimbote, 2021. An investigation of the type quantitative - explanatory and qualitative - correlational. The research determined the use of the tools: DOP, Ishikawa, Study of times and variables, Control charts, QFD and FMEA. Also, the research used Six Sigma and Control Charts in Minitab to model the business situation today and after improvement. The Pareto diagram for the initial diagnosis in the production and quality areas prioritized 2 root causes out of 4, which are, lack of quality indicators and return of products due to variation in weights, however, the proposal gave a solution to all. The results estimated an increase in profitability in the quality area from 40% to 47% and in the production area from 52% to 60%, with a profit of S / 24,637.80, that is, 66.32%. The economic and financial evaluation determined a NPV of S / 35,799.48, the IRR of 78.37%, meaning that the proposal returns the invested capital and is feasible. Finally, the cost benefit indicator (B / C) was S / 1.7.
