Abstract
The objective of this research is to simulate daily flows using the GR4J hydrological model applied to a sub-basin of the Zaña river delimited from the Batan hydrometric station. On the one hand, flow information was collected at the daily level of the conventional station between 2015-2020, which was used for the calibration of the model. On the other hand, daily flow information was obtained between the period 2000-2015 for the validation of the same. Precipitation and average temperature information was also extracted using the COPERNICUS satellite using the Google Earth Engine platform. The results were analyzed using the Nash coefficient and the determination coefficient (R2) as efficiency criteria. Finally, based on the results obtained in the calibration and validation, it is stated that the hydrological model GR4J presents a good performance in the estimation of daily average flows.
