Abstract
A systematic review is carried out to determine the influence of recycled aggregate on the properties of concrete designed for pedestrian pavers, the characteristics of the mixes with recycled aggregate are explained according to the background, as well as its properties, and the quantities in volume necessary are determined according to the replacement percentage to obtain the adequate mix according to its compressive strength and absorption percentage. According to the analysis and synthesis of other related results, the recycled aggregate influences the decrease of its compressive strength and increase of absorption percentage. However, by replacing up to 25% of the coarse aggregate with recycled aggregate, an adequate mix can be achieved, complying with the parameters estimated by NTP. 399.611 according to its properties.
