Abstract– This article deals with the identification, approval and analysis of key indicators of operations management, to ensure the sustainability of the green manufacturing industries of our countries in South America.
In the current context of competitiveness and the need to revive our economies, indicators are instruments used by companies to assess their performance and the level of efficiency and efficiency of processes. It is for this reason that some South American countries with a strong influence from the mining industry have long been developing some productivity and environmental indicators, but not an effective indicator system, with a general sustainable development approach, which must incorporate the economic, social, environmental and institutional dimensions of development leaving aside the purely operational indicators of sustainable productive activities.
The research deals with the application of the proposed sustainable indicator system to a regional chemical industry whose activities have evolved periodically to this day contributing to the transformation to a green industry.
