Abstract:

The purpose of this article is transmits the practical experience in the update of three Laboratory Guides of the subject Control Engineering, of the Electronic Engineering Program at Ricardo Palma University (URP), Lima-Peru. This update corresponded to the configuration and programming procedure of the SIEMENS S7-1200 PLCs, to develop real timing applications, comparison, counting, acquisition of analog signals from a pressure or temperature transmitter, analog signal generation for an actuator, and implementation of an On-Off control. Likewise, it describes the procedure of assembly of the PLC in each one of the five work tables of the Control Laboratory of the URP, as well as the installation of the terminals for the connection of analog input/output signals, digital input/output signals, power supplies, and on/off switches. Additionally, the group of materials used for such assembly is mentioned, and the approximate cost to achieve it.
