Abstract:

The present study focuses on analyzing the sociodemographic factors that influence the consumption of domestic gas and the possibility of designing an anaerobic doser fed with organic food. The purpose is to produce methane gas to replace the ibuprofen gas of the 16 kg cylinders currently used in the kitchens of urban houses. For the evaluation of the design and its feasibility of being built the anaerobic doser was carried out an investigation of the different sociodemographic factors that can significantly influence the consumption of domestic gas in marginal urban homes. In making the decision of type of load for the anaerobic device, a sample was taken in 285 households in the urban area of the City of Guayaquil, where the inhabitants of each household have the same urban organic resources and assess them. An interview was conducted with each head of the household through a questionnaire with 13 items in order to propose the phases to follow in the investigation. The results indicate that the assumption: ""Sociodemographic factors have a significant influence on consumer decision-making as a source of energy in urban households in the city of Guayaquil"".
