Abstract:

A methodology has been established that has allowed to verify in the specialties of Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Statistical Engineering that the level reached by the soft competences with the current rubrics of measurement in the courses such as: i) the syllables, ii) the tests of entry and respective reports, iii) final reports, iv) End-of-degree project, are insufficient to ensure the attainment, improvement and sustainability of these competences, since these instruments lack systematization and internal articulation, although here we must highlight the integrative, timely evidences of the competences such as the participation of the students of the professional careers analyzed in the fair of projects and diverse student congresses. On the other hand, teachers have a more than satisfactory perception of the level reached by these competences, which is in contrast with the opinions of dissatisfaction of students and graduates surveyed. These results significantly reinforce the decision to continue with the actions of continuous improvement of the quality of the teaching-learning processes considered within the Internal Cycle - of the two cycles proposed by the ABET-, and to establish the internal organizational mechanisms that facilitate the obtaining of the transversal competences aligned with the Educational Objectives
