Abstract:This research evaluates the effect of the Cabuya admixture (Furcraea andina) in water resistance of traditional earth blocks. The samples were tested under rain and flood conditions through non-standard tests, and the mechanical properties were also evaluated through compressive and indirect tensile standard tests. The results indicate that the water resistance of earth blocks increases significantly, and the mechanical properties in a smaller proportion only. | ||
