Abstract:

The academic performance of the students and their well-being in general, are seriously influenced by the anxiety presented during academic activities. Evaluations are one of the main factors that generate stress and anxiety. However, different types of questionnaires can impact students' stress levels differently. This paper presents a proposal to monitor the stress level of undergraduate students during two types of written exam, using wearables. Cognition and personality tests were applied to a group of 20 students, of whom 2 were selected with similar profiles. Tests were performed using the EEG Emotiv Insight headband for the two subjects, with two types of questionnaires, one of open question and one of closed question. The results show consistency between the records obtained with the proposed system and the standardized psychological tests used to study stress.
