Abstract:The research try to reveal the profile of the teachers in higher education for an engineering career and what are the dimensions from the educational approach.
The students of metallurgical engineering of the last cycles that approved the courses related to the processing of polymetallic ores and auriferous minerals in a concentrating plant and mineral leaching process were counted, who were administered two instruments built in base to corresponding variables, dimensions and indicators; The reliability of the instruments of the teacher profile based on the competency approach according to the method of internal consistency determined by Cronbach's alpha was 0.988. The reliability for the instrument of the learning variable was found by the procedure of internal consistency by the coefficient of Kuder Richarson-20 with the support of the SPSS software was 0.988.
Given the results, we deduce that the teacher profile questionnaire based on the competences approach obtained 0,988 and the application of the learning questionnaire obtained a value of 0,988, we can deduce that both instruments have an excellent reliability.
