| The objective of this study is to evaluate the Operation- focus criterion of the Baldrige Model for Performance Excellence in a hospital in Ecuador. The methodology includes: 1) identification of the key processes and their relationship with other hospital units, 2) process mapping and modelling, 3) process analysis, 4) identification of the strengths within the hospital and opportunities for improvement, and 5) scoring the hospital system. At the end, it was possible to evaluate not only the operation-focus criterion, but the entire criteria of the Baldrige Model.

| El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar el criterio Enfoque en las Operaciones del Modelo de Excelencia Baldrige en un hospital en Ecuador. La metodología incluye: 1) identificación de procesos claves y su relación con otras unidades del hospital, 2) mapeo y modelado de procesos, 3) análisis de procesos, 4) identificación de fortalezas dentro del hospital y oportunidades de mejora. Al final, fue posible evaluar no solo el criterio enfoque en las operaciones, sino también los demás criterios del Modelo Baldrige. | ||
