Abstract:
The objective of this study is to analyze the proper location of the infrastructure of the health sector, after signing the unification agreement of health services provided by the two largest providers of Peru. First, we evaluate the current status of each supplier, and then we analyzed the optimal allocation of joint infrastructure. It uses integer linear programming models and heuristics for numerical analysis, allowing the comparison between the hypothesis and reality. We conclude that one of the suppliers has insufficient infrastructure to meet demand, while the other one has sufficient infrastructure. Finally, the results show that the services could meet together in time and distance the demand.

El objetivo de este estudio es analizar la adecuada ubicación geográfica de la infraestructura del sector salud, luego de firmado el convenio de unificación de los servicios de salud brindados por los dos proveedores más grandes del Perú. En primer lugar, se evalúa la situación actual de cada proveedor, seguidamente se analiza la distribución óptima de la infraestructura conjunta. Se emplea modelos de programación lineal entera y heurística para realizar el análisis numérico, lo que permite contrastar la hipótesis con la realidad. Se concluye que uno de los proveedores tiene una infraestructura insuficiente para atender a su demanda, mientras que el otro tiene una infraestructura suficiente. Finalmente, los resultados muestran que los servicios en conjunto podrían atender en tiempos y distancias óptimas a la demanda.
