This paper deals with the linkage achieved by the faculty of Mechanical Design Higher Technological Institute of Irapuato (ITESI) and how it has impact on academic Human and students Electromechanical Engineering degree. As part of this bonding was achieved presentation of a research paper at the 18th Annual International the SOMIM, this project was conducted in collaboration with researchers from the Institute of Technology Higher Irapuato and the University of Guanajuato. The most important project driven faculty is the formation of the ASME student section-ITESI, which was formed through the support ASME student section-SOMIM of the University of Guanajuato, as well as explain the two events I participate ASME student section-ITESI in 2012 and the five events planned to be developed during 2013. All this allows undergraduate students of the Engineering Electromechanical into contact with researchers and students from other higher education institutions in the country.

El presente trabajo trata sobre la vinculación lograda por el cuerpo académico de Diseño Mecánico del Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Irapuato (ITESI) y como esto ha impacto en el desarrollo académico y humano de los estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Electromecánica. Como parte de esta vinculación se logró la ponencia de un artículo de investigación en el 18 Congreso Internacional Anual de la SOMIM, dicho proyecto se realizó con la colaboración de investigadores del Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Irapuato y la Universidad de Guanajuato. El proyecto más importante impulsado por el cuerpo académico es la formación de la sección estudiantil ASME-ITESI, la cual fue formada gracias al apoyo prestado la sección estudiantil ASME-SOMIM de la Universidad de Guanajuato, además de explicar los dos eventos en los cuales participo la sección estudiantil ASME-ITESI durante el año 2012 y los cinco eventos planeados a ser desarrollados durante el año 2013. Todo esto permite que los estudiantes de nivel licenciatura de la carrera de Ingeniería Electromecánica tengan contacto con investigadores y estudiantes de otras instituciones de educación superior del país.
