Abstract

There are optimization problems which mathematical programming methods cannot guarantee an application of optimal solutions. In these, metaheuristics are an alternative. Hybrid Genetic Algorithms are the most popular due to its simplicity and effectiveness. These methods have been applied to multiobjective optimization problems which present functions that are in conflict between them, obtaining good solutions. This paper presents a multiobjective approach of a Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for the definition and optimization of routing plans using pre-defined lines and routes, and illustrate a real-world case applied to a passenger public transport company in Colombia.
