Abstract

The aim of this article is to define the technical specifications and to design the implementation of a line of tanks that should be used for the process of waxing and di-waxing of large pieces. As it is a real case, we analyze too the process of dismantling of the old plant that supported all these functions. The previously mentioned line is located in an aircraft engines maintenance plant that as an aeronautical maintenance organization should have the EASA certificate, part 145. This license regulates that should follow every organization dedicated to the maintenance of large aircrafts or aircrafts dedicated to commercial transportation. The origin of this project is due to a new rating for the maintenance of landing gears, as the previous line of waxing and masking parts, that was prepared to work on components or smaller pieces of an aircraft engine, is no more adequate to the workflow and to the new processes that should be established. Specifically, the article focuses on the tasks and processes that should be carried out on the main body (mainfitting) of main landing gear, called MLG (Main Landing Gear) for A320-type aircraft. A320.
