Abstract

Analysis System Computer Aided Mammography is a system that will have the task of providing a pre-analysis to radiologists, using standards; the system's objective is to find the possible calcifications to help have a diagnostic mammogram. The analysis was carried out from a bank of mammograms containing calcifications; the bank shall be established using the University Hospital of the Autonomous University of Puebla. Using images of the mammograms were classified (based on standard BI_RADS1 2003) to develop pattern recognition and get the important features for the analysis of possible masses or calcifications on mammograms are. This work will help to obtain more rapid diagnosis and also help young radiologists to have a more accurate, since many radiologists now see the images with the help of a magnifying glass and determine its valuation. Through this work is intended that the mammogram analysis system does so alone. To perform pattern recognition makes use of various mathematical tools such as Harris corner detector and detector points of interest, plus a proprietary algorithm to determine significant figures.
