Abstract

E-government encompasses a wide range of topics, including the development, use and consequences of new technological practices, innovative processes, forms and interests in government and civic life occasioned by the Internet, World Wide Web and information technologies and communication technologies (ICTs). Consequently, e-government allows the opening in relations with people and multidisciplinary work groups are to hold in order to give coherence and stability to the life of the community today. Therefore, many countries launched the initiative of new systems as governments - citizenship - the company with the aim of increasing productivity and quality of life. The concept of e- Gov is more efficient the good of society and state through the management of data in a computer environment. Consequently, the Dominican government seeks to ensure and then decrease the setbacks in relation to the outdated models of government administrative systems. As a result, the Dominican government has moved to number 65 in compliance with the indicators of civic participation through the promotion of the modernization process of the United Nations Programme on e-Gov. This highly significant positive jump in the world in the development and introduction of an electronic government and placed the use of technology to the Dominican Republic in a continuing effort commitment to the initiative to be part of an emerging economy for this new century.
