Abstract

Users, teachers and students of the virtual learning platform called EVA (Virtual Learning Environment), University of Study, are currently facing some difficulties, despite the improvements implemented through technical advice on the use of the platform virtual due to several factors, among which are: An alert for "security" that is generated for each click that occurs on the page and not justified as not being generated according to what it was designed; confusion elements of activities that shows the environment for new or inexperienced students, limited shelf life in online exams; lost password of teachers; delay in response time on chat and messaging environments, lack of understanding of activities that require constant training, lack of a history in the chat environment, erasing elements of live records that allows teachers to establish control of the attendees at the platform. But the most complex has been the constant change and / or lost password of students in full year online, which means loss of time in virtual classes, restrictions on resources, especially non-participation or logging in examinations set Specific dates for the university, among other problems. This has led to a median acceptance of the platform by a large number of users, and worse, the low acceptance of the platform by teachers who still argue that the "virtual" is a disaster, among many other problems that this implies delayed addition of b-learning education raised in the university, delay and hinder one of the main objectives of the university for study in the XXI Century: The Virtualization total of some subjects and then some of their careers, among which was evaluated and met the requirements for international accreditation, career in Communications Electronic Engineering.
To solve these problems, meet the objectives set by the University and make fully use all the resources that the platform offers, we have advocated the study of the source code and testing on-site technicians working in the administration this platform as well as the study of user participation in this platform, both teachers and students (skilled and unskilled) and also conducted the study to a considerable representation of administrative staff (not teachers or students) that working with this platform, to feel the problems they encounter and thus establish the improvements to be integrated into the platform. This study found that integration should not be implemented in software usability to the environment, which has been considered but not actually captured, which would yield a purely friendly platform to every user, from a freshman to a teacher with little computer skill. It is one of the main objectives of the University and the Ministry of Higher Education of the Dominican Republic: Implement virtualization in a short time of the race internationally accredited and virtualization subjects that apply, racing in the future will also be completely virtualized, to offer e-learning education quality.
