Abstract |
This paper describes the experience in the design and implementation of a six month Executive Graduate Program
on Information Technology Management and a thirteen month Graduate Program on Information Technology
Planning and Management. The motivation for developing these programs was to meet the present need of our
sector to educate professionals responsible for the planning and management of information technologies, by
combining IT knowledge with planning and management skills. Through both programs the graduates were able
to: understand available technologies and their business-enabling role; learn about the organizations that use such
technologies and the strategic issues involved; understand IT-related aspects and learn to plan -strategically- the
use of IT in a given organization.
