Abstract

This research consisted in the design of model-based Strategic Business Performance Management for computer labs in public universities. The diagnosis was made in public universities in Ciudad Guayana and was taken as a reference to the National University of Guayana to validate the model. The type of research was employed at the corresponding applied causal analysis, design documentation and bibliography. The tools used are framed maps using strategic management strategic indicators required by successful organizations. This will allow decisions to minimize the deviations arising in the planning. Computer labs at public universities evaluated the planning process reflects an average of 44.5%, indicating a gap of 56%, where the staff know at least one parameter of planning. For the current management process yielded a value of 17%, with a gap of 83%, wherein a parameter known staff management. This research represents an important contribution and unprecedented in the field of computer labs at universities, will help identify and implement improvement opportunities that impact the performance thereof
