Abstract

In Venezuela, the education system is divided into the basic subsystem and the university, the basic system includes initial education, primary and secondary, and university subsystem, in undergraduate and graduate, undergraduate in turn is divided into short and long carrer , 90% of the short carrer are in Schools and Colleges, existing teaching career but with different regulations. To compare the regulation of Basic Education and the Colleges, with the regulations of the universities, establishes that those Entry and Promotion regulations other than the universities have increased their actual minimum requirements refinements and adjustments, which are higher in the whole university, through a SWOT matrix is analyzed and provides a prospective of the Law on Universities. The methodology is based on a diagnostic study type research, which underpins it’s design as a documentary and field experience in order to make a prospective teaching career in Venezuela of the university academic professionals and their effects on engineering.
