Abstract

This paper presents the design, implementation and comparison of techniques for active noise control, these controllers is based on adaptive control techniques using a FIR filter and LMS algorithm, the operating principle of this method of control is, in the phenomenon of destructive interference and linear superposition of waves, the idea is to generate an identical signal to noise signal to be cancelled, making attenuate noise propagating inside the acoustic environment for validation of this application was built an experimental prototype During the tests, were achieved attenuate sound pressure levels in the order of 50 dB, on industrial type noises propagated within the duct.
