This article provides a brief overview of a curriculum monitoring model which has been developed by the
Curriculum Committee of undergraduate Agricultural Engineering program at the Technological Institute of
Costa Rica (TEC). At the beginning of the paper, the curriculum management is presented as a factor which
helps to fill any gaps between written, taught, learned and assessed curricula. Afterwards, some processes and
reasons behind the curriculum monitoring and management are discussed. Also, several significant aspects of
the model implementation are exposed. Besides, a few examples of execution of this model are given. Finally,
some ideas about the adaptability and value of this model for the curricular management and quality assurance
are also shared.
