Abstract

In this paper we present a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) model for the optimization of the strategic management of a public university in Spain. This model aims to help the university to implement its strategy effectively. In order to achieve this objective the strategic map of the university, together with the proposed strategic objectives for each of the BSC perspectives (Financial / Value, Customers, Processes and Resources) and the cause-effect relationships among objectives will be presented.
