Information privacy is an important consideration when communicating over public networks such as the internet. Sophisticated encryption schemes have been developed to ensure the authenticity of data and to protect it from unwanted disclosure. This talk provides a tutorial overview of the use of chaos theory as a basis for encryption techniques.
