The Organization of American States (OAS) Summit of Engineering for the Americas celebrates the 11th event of Engineering for the Americas organized by LACCEI, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss ongoing and launch new hemispheric engineering education initiatives.  Engineering for the Americas (EftA) is an initiative adopted by the Ministers of Science and Technology of the 35 countries members of the Organization of American States (OAS) and is part of the OAS Working Group 2: Human Capacity Building.  EftA is headquartered at the OAS in Washington, D.C., USA and reports annually to the Ministers.  The goal of this Summit is to provide a place where organizations and institutions can join in the initiatives and provide concrete recommendations and progress at the next Ministerial Meeting later this year in Medellín, Colombia.  This year the Summit is sponsored by the OAS, LACCEI, and the Education Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
