Abstract:

In 2018, the Argentinean Federal Council of Deans of Engineering (CONFEDI) decided to implement the ""woman in Engineering"" program, in line with the worldwide concern about the lack of women in careers related to Science and Technology. . The main objective is to motivate women to study and exercise engineering and promote equal rights and employment opportunities in this field. In this work a study of the income, academic performance and graduation of women in engineering careers at the Faculty of Engineering and Cs. Agropecuaria of the National University of San Luis of the Argentine Republic during the last 15 years. The data recovered and analyzed will allow establishing a baseline to measure the efficiency of the programs that are implemented at the level of institutional policies, seeking to stimulate women's vocations towards engineering.
