Abstract:

Information and communication technologies, ICT, the Internet of Things, next-generation communications, 5G, among other telecommunications technologies require today's Internet Protocol version 6 (Ipv6), and therefore new demand for workforce in the telecommunications sector in Colombia, with the necessary skills to carry out the transition that this protocol requires. For this purpose, this article describes the methodological process and procedures used for the elaboration of sectoral technical standards of labor competency addressed to the IPv6 protocol. An analysis is made of the process followed by the experts for the elaboration of each standard, describing the parameters that were taken into account based on the characteristics and profile required by the sector. Finally, we come to the elaboration of the standards associated with IPv6 technology that involve aspects of network architecture design with IPv6, configure network architecture with IPv6 and monitor network architecture with IPv6.
